A Vintage Beach-Themed Wedding at Lichfield Pond in Toquerville, Utah

After a late night golf cart ride through the sand dunes of California ended in a dead battery and a long, moonlit walk, Jessica Jessop (29, administrative assistant) and James Cooke (35, contractor) started dating from opposite ends of Utah. After closing the 300-mile gap and moving in together, James surprised Jessica at Christmas with a wrapped box that contained her engagement ring. The couple considered having a destination wedding on the beach but decided they would rather bring the beach to Utah so that all of their family and friends could celebrate with them. They found a little slice of heaven at Lichfield Pond in Toquerville, Utah, a beautiful outdoor setting that worked perfectly with the couple's vintage beach theme. The wedding elements all came together in a cohesive, festive style with a color palette of aqua, tan, green and coral. Bright flowers combined with lighthearted vintage decorations such as pieces of coral, starfish, books, paper flowers, orchids and hanging glass vials created a whimsical, casual atmosphere. "The whole day was really a reflection of us," says Jessica. "My husband's casual, laid-back style and my love of old books and the beach."
