A Vintage Chic Barn Wedding at Parks Show Cattle Farm in Metamora, Michigan
Kelsey Meek (27 and a marketing specialist) and Frank Rogers (27 and a corporate real estate associate) met through mutual friends in college. It just so happened they were from the same hometown on the east side of Michigan. One winter day, Frank and his sister brought Kelsey down to her favorite ice rink for a day of skating. As she was skating around the rink, she began to notice her friends and family lining up around the rink. Confused, she turned to ask Frank what was going on but he was already on one knee preparing to propose. They settled on a Fall wedding and found the spacious grounds of a working cattle farm near their home. The bright greenery and changing leaves were the ideal background for their ceremony. Their color palette was spread in every shade of purple imaginable accented by glitter sheen. Rustic touches like handmade chalkboards and twine and wooden clothespins tied in the atmosphere of the ranch. The cocktail hour was set in an area filled with large whiskey barrels serving as tables while a string quartet continued playing classical music from the ceremony. Friends and family were then guided into the barn where a classic meal of home cooked favorites was served. Over the dinner tables hung a mason jar chandelier and ivory draping, sparkling as the sun began to set between the barn doors. After dinner guests could dance on the outdoor dance floor under ping pong string lights, take a turn at the photo booth and roast s'mores. As the night came to a close, Kelsey and Frank joined their friends and family in a paper lantern sendoff to thank everyone for being with them.
