A Vintage Chic Wedding at Canadian Reformed Church in Chilliwack, British Columbia

Esther Krul (20, a receptionist and bookkeeper) and Garold Broekhuis (21, a dairy farmer) wanted a vintage-chic style for their wedding. A light pink color palette complemented their theme perfectly and brought out romantic touches on their special day. They held a traditional ceremony at the Canadian Reformed Church, with the reception at a local NRC Hall in Chilliwack, British Columbia. Esther designed much of the wedding decor herself. "My mom was sure I was crazy because of all the effort and work I put in just for one day!" she says. Vintage furniture was used to display the delicious fondant ruffled ombre cake and cupcakes, and also served as a station to collect gifts from guests. Quik's Farms' soft flower arrangements of pink and ivory peonies and roses in the bouquets and centerpieces rounded out the reception decor. A final fun touch were the wedding photos by Urban Fig Photography at a local park; the couple's classic style perfectly complemented the nature around them. (They even shared a kiss in a rowboat!) "The entire day was a reflection of our relationship and love for each other. We were very touched by the work our guests and family put into our reception," Esther says.
