A Vintage, DIY Wedding at Franconia Inn in Franconia, New Hampshire

Julie Pisani ( 28, a Chef) and Paul Denby (29, a Teacher) met  when Julie was a barista at a local coffee shop  in New Hampshire. "We chatted every day for a few weeks but one day he left his red grading pen behind, so I ran after him to return it. We talked in the parking lot for a long time and then he asked me out! With the red pen, we exchanged phone numbers. I still have the piece of of paper with his number on it!" Julie recalls. Since the pair met at a coffee shop in Franconia, New Hampshire, they decided to have their wedding at the Franconia Inn. The decor and style was heavily vintage and DIY inspired; Julie and Paul designed the invitations and signage, and Julie scoured antique shops for vintage bottles to displayed the flowers for the table centerpieces. A special treat was the welcome boxes the couple put together for guests: "We filled each box with snacks and water and chocolate from the famous candy store, Chutters. We also left a local map and brochures for fun things to do in the area before our wedding!" Julie says.
