A Vintage-Inspired Barn Wedding on a Family Farm in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa

This wasn't Jennifer Miller and Jeremy Clark's first wedding at the Miller family farm. Two years prior, the couple met while feting Jennifer's sister's wedding: She was maid of honor, he was an usher. Two years later nearly to the day, Jennifer (27 and a nurse) and Jeremy (27 and a financial advisor) tied the knot themselves at a pond on the family's 18-acre property.

Jennifer chose a palette of blush pink, gray and metallics to highlight a vintage theme that included salvaged barn-wood signs, table centerpieces of mirrors, jewels, and antique handkerchiefs, and a vintage globe "guest book."  Peonies in mason jar vases lined the aisle for the mostly traditional ceremony, which took place before 100 guests.

The special location allowed the couple to do something everlasting: "We chose to plant a tree for our union during the ceremony," says Jennifer. Once the couple was pronounced married, guests showered the newlyweds with dried rose petals wrapped in cones of old sheet music. A reception for more than 300 guests followed in a white tent next to the barn. —Michelle Thomas
