A Vintage, Shabby-Chic Wedding at Smithville Mansion in Mount Holly, New Jersey
Emily McGarry (31 and in retail) and Tim McGarry (32 and a senior analyst) used the vintage style of Smithville Mansion in Mount Holly, New Jersey, as the inspiration for their wedding. “Our venue really was the focal point of the whole day,” Emily says. “It truly represented us as a couple.” Their sweet ceremony highlighted its backyard with wooden chairs and a matching arbor. The tented reception, however, was entirely different. Tim found a great rental shop, Maggpie Vintage Rentals, and picked out an authentic mantel and suitcase for their card box and sweetheart table. “Once we had those booked, I knew everything was going to be cohesive and tell our story,” Emily says. Every detail was tied together with a color scheme of navy, white and coral. “From the beginning, I was obsessed with navy blue and peach accents,” Emily says. A mix of light pink flowers lined the cake and reception tables. The wedding party also tied in the bolder hue with navy outfits. The best part: Emily and Tim were able to turn their wedding day into a recurring affair. “Smithville Mansion is a public park, so Tim and I can go back again and again,” she says. “We have gone once or twice since we got married.” See every moment of their day, beautifully captured by Delaney Dobson Photography, below.
