A Vintage, Spring Wedding at Plantation at Sunnybrook in Roanoke, Virginia

Megan Flynn (25, blogger at freckleditalian.com) and Rob Peterson (24 and a software consultant) met during college. They had both grown up in Roanoke, Virginia, but they had never crossed paths, so their first encounter was at a Halloween party at Hampden-Sydney College. After four years of dating, Rob proposed to Megan during a stroll through downtown Roanoke. Since they both called Roanoke home, they decided the Plantation at Sunnybrook in Roanoke would be the perfect venue for their marriage. Megan and Rob's vintage garden inspired wedding was stunning in shades of pale pink, powder blue, light gray and white.  The outdoor ceremony was elegantly understated with simple aisle decorations of white flowers in gray urns. The indoor reception featured round dining tables with textured ivory tablecloths and black chiavari chairs, and bouquets of pink roses, white lisianthus and white hydrangeas filled vintage tea kettle centerpieces. Megan looked gorgeous in a romantic wedding dress that belonged to her mother, and instead of a veil, she opted to wear a silver embellished headband to match her vintage style. She wore an heirloom watch that belonged to one of her grandmothers and pinned her bouquet wrap with a gold brooch that belonged to her other grandmother. Her bridesmaids wore a variety of long dresses in pale pink, powder blue and light gray from J. Crew for a pretty and mismatched look. Rob and his groomsmen wore classic black suits with black ties and pink rose boutonnieres. This spring wedding was classy and romantic with its vintage details and tasteful decor.
