Beth Tiller (36 and a CPA) and Kelly Sweigart (34 and an engineering technician) met on Match.com. Kelly planned an elaborate proposal, discreetly dropping hints to Beth along the way by suggesting she show him what ring she would like and getting her father’s phone number to ask for permission by convincing Beth that it was in case of emergency. Despite all the planning, the actual proposal was spontaneous while the couple was walking around in Mayfield Park in Austin, Texas. The couple had their wedding at Pecan Springs Ranch in Austin, Texas, a 17-acre ranch covered in pecan trees and vintage decor. The wedding theme was vintage chic with a color palette of purple and gray. “We wanted bright vivid colors that would pop,” says Beth, “and to utilize the vintage decor and furniture available at Pecan Springs Ranch.” During the wedding ceremony, Kelly sang “Ave Maria” during a special Cord of Three Strands Ceremony. Throughout the cocktail hour and reception, a DJ played a mix of 60s, salsa, country and dance music as guests dined on Southwestern style cuisine. The couple had planned for both an outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour, but the cold and rainy weather forced them to move their plans indoors. However, “because of the amazing planning of Paige Smith of Pure Love Style and the staff at Pecan Springs Ranch, our wedding was more beautiful and special than we could ever have imagined,” says Beth. “My advice is, if something does not go the way you had planned, have faith that it will work out better than you had imagined.”
