A Warm, Lively Wedding at Founders Inn and Spa in Virginia Beach, Virginia

Caitlin Carter (27, educator) and Darryn Lamb (27, banker) met while they were both working in Virginia Beach, Virginia. They dated for three years before Darryn proposed to Caitlin at the end of a Color Me Rad 5k race. The couple decided to get married in Virginia Beach and chose the Founders Inn and Spa as their venue. Their wedding decor centered around Caitlin's favorite flower, the sunflower. The color palette was bright yellow and cool green, which looked lovely at their summer event. Bridesmaids wore "appletini" green Alfred Sung dresses and carried bouquets of sunflowers and baby's breath while Darryn and the groomsmen looked handsome in khaki suits with green ties and craspedia boutonnieres. Caitlin wore a strapless, A-line wedding dress by Casablanca and carried a bouquet of sunflowers, craspedia, chrysanthemums and fiddlehead ferns. The ceremony was held by the pond and the ensuing reception was held in the Founders Inn ballroom, where tables were set with brown embroidered linens and the room was lit with purple uplighting. This summer wedding was warm and fun, perfectly matching Caitlin and Darryn's lively personalities.
