A Warm, Romantic Wedding at Stone Tower Winery in Leesburg, Virginia
Rebecca (31, survey researcher) and Casey (30, engineer) met while working in Washington, DC. They hit it off immediately and dated for two years. Casey popped the question on the beach during a trip to Portland, Oregon. "He proposed while we were bundled up in blankets watching the sun come up," says Becca. Becca and Casey chose to be married at the Stone Tower Winery in Leesburg, Virginia because of its proximity to DC, where they met, and because of its gorgeous grounds and beautiful barn. Their fall vineyard wedding was stunning in shades of burgundy and pink with hints of green. The rustic, wood frame chuppah under which they said their vows was wreathed in vines, roses, sedum, hydrangea and greens and arranged with wood benches on the winery's scenic lawn. Centerpieces at the reception were similarly ethereal, with window boxes and pedestal vases filled with red and pink roses, burgundy dahlias, wine colored scabiosa, cymbidium orchids and sedum. The barn was draped in white linens and illuminated with string lights, and the alternating round and farmhouse tables were set with lace overlay tablecloths and table runners, adding vintage flair to the rustic decor. As if the decor wasn't already enough to die for, Becca and Casey ended their charming wedding with an extensive dessert table that included a spiced carrot cake, two naked cakes drizzled with caramel and cream, vanilla and peanut butter cake pops, miniature whoopie pies and s'more tarts. As for wedding day advice, Becca suggests setting aside some time to actually enjoy your cocktail hour. "If you can, try to take photos before the ceremony so you have more time to enjoy with your guests!"
