A Whimsical Carnival-Themed Wedding at Trattoria Lisina in Driftwood, Texas

Chelsea Adams (29 and a project manager) and Matt White (35 and in technical support) met while working at a local sports bar and restaurant. They bonded as friends before Matt asked Chelsea out on a date, and years down the road, Matt proposed in their apartment. The couple chose to get married at Chapel Dulcinea in Austin, Texas. “We wanted to be outdoors in nature and to have the sun shining on us as we made our lifelong commitment to each other,” says Chelsea. The ceremony took place outdoors around a fountain surrounded by Tuscan architecture, and at the end, the couple rang a large tower bell letting everyone know they made it official. The reception moved to Trattoria Lisina, a Tuscan-inspired restaurant in Driftwood, Texas. The couple incorporated a color palette of orange, navy and robin’s egg blue into their whimsical, carnival-themed reception. “I was inspired by a carnival theme since I could incorporate bright colors and animals,” says Chelsea. She crafted paper flowers and set them in popcorn boxes for centerpieces, and used whimsical props such as animal hats and masks to create a fun atmosphere. “The circus masks represent our whimsy and how we are always looking to have fun together,” says Chelsea. “It was intimate and a day we will both cherish for a lifetime,” says the bride.
