A Whimsical Outdoor Wedding at Sole East in Montauk, New York

Danielle Viscuso (27 and a hair colorist) and Elie Camoro (37 and a creative director and hairstylist) planned a whimsical, early-fall fete at Sole East in Montauk, New York, with a palette of cheerful cream, peach, coral and green hues. “We’ve been going there every year since we’ve been together. We know the staff and felt very comfortable there,” Danielle says. “We also wanted to share one of our favorite places with our friends and family.” The festivities kicked off with a ceremony on the Sole East yoga deck, an intimate spot tucked away in the woods. Fresh bundles of flowers adorned the trees along the path leading to the clearing, where Danielle and Elie exchanged vows. Rose-colored cosmos lined the aisle, and the sound of Brazilian guitar filled the air. “We loved our reverend. She said our vows were the most genuine and special vows she’s ever heard,” Danielle says. An alfresco cocktail hour followed on the Sole East lawn, followed by a tented reception. “I wanted everything to look clean and simple,” Danielle says. Wooden tables paired with white linens, white taper candles and handmade vases overflowing with fresh wildflowers set a whimsical, romantic tone for evening. After a dinner of pesto pasta and fluke, the newlyweds and their guests hit the dance floor where the Brit Pack churned out classic rock hits all night. At the end of the evening, Danielle and Elie sent their guests off with handmade vases that florist Tara Douglas of Brooklyn Plant Studio made specially for the occasion. A tip from Danielle and Elie: “Have a couple of meetings with your band right before the wedding. We were so busy that we actually communicated everything through email, and I do not recommend that. Other than that, just relax and enjoy your wedding.” —Libby MacCarthy
