A Whimsical, Rustic Wedding at Southwest School of Art in San Antonio, Texas

Lexi Stehr (26 and a sourcing analyst) and Jordan Michael (27 and a financial analyst) have different styles, but their wedding blended them both together. They combined her love of contemporary details with his affinity for classic elegance and turned it into this rustic fete filled with natural decor—a winning combination. The historic Southwest School of Art in San Antonio, Texas, won them over because of its romantic location along the San Antonio River and its historic European-style architecture with rustic rooms (including stained glass windows with industrial chandeliers) and lush courtyards and gardens. Fresh Urban Flowers highlighted Southwest School of Art's natural beauty by bringing the outside gardens into the rustic space with lots of greenery, succulents and flowers in sunset-inspired shades. Lexi and Jordan added their own touch of whimsy with custom cocktail stirrers and striped straws, custom hashtag cocktail napkins, monogrammed pillows and touches of gold on the tips of the succulents, but still kept it classic in their choice of fashions: Lexi in her mother’s vintage ball gown wedding dress, and Jordan in a tux with cowboy boots! Thanks to Wedding and Event Designs by Pamela, their week-of coordinator, their day went by without a hitch, and Bend the Light Photography was present to capture all the details, below.
