A Whimsical Urban Wedding at Melrose Market Studios in Seattle, Washington

Brandon (45 and an artist also working in nonprofit administration) and David (45 and a mechanical engineer) first saw each other on Match.com, but by a strange twist of fate, they ran into each other in person before they even started chatting online. They bumped into one another in a pub ("And I do mean the kind of hard bump in a crowded bar thing," Brandon clarifies) and instantly recognized one another from their profiles. Brandon mentioned the encounter to his friends and expressed his concern that David was out of his league, but after seeing him in person, Brandon managed to work up the nerve to strike up a conversation. At the time, David was playing a game of pinball and came off as kind of shy, but Brandon kept the conversation going and ended the evening saying, "Consider this your "wink" on Match. If you're interested in going out, send me an email." Sure enough, Brandon got the email. They held their wedding at Melrose Market Studios, an urban event space in downtown Seattle, Washington, for its unique industrial aesthetic.
