A Whimsical, Vintage-Inspired Wedding at a Private Residence in San Antonio, Texas
Brylie Hanlan (22 and works in marketing) and Logan Sharp (22 and works in criminology) planned an intimate celebration with a fun retro feel for their summer nuptials in San Antonio, Texas. Each and every detail was carefully planned, from the striking ribbon backdrop to the quirky photo booth backdrop, with Brylie, Logan, their families and friends handcrafting almost everything themselves. “Everything was so sentimental and special,” says Brylie. The couple exchanged heartfelt vows under a skyward reaching pecan tree adorned in brightly colored ribbons and a mason jar chandelier that twinkled as the sun set.
A palette of pastels and bright, vibrant hues translated into bouquets of freshly-picked wildflowers and classic blooms, vintage table cloths and handmade doilies that injected the natural landscape with energy and life. Antique jars, tea cups, vases and furnishings were woven throughout, bringing a touch of old world charm to the couple’s playful decor. As guests arrived to the ceremony, they were greeted by a punchy pink vanity bearing floral program fans and a reclaimed door dotted with colorful vintage handkerchiefs Brylie had collected in the year leading up the wedding.
A reception followed the couple’s “I dos,” where guests sipped on refreshing summery drinks from miniature milk bottles and stripy straws, noshed on mouth-watering eats and struck a pose with vintage hats and props at Brylie and Logan’s photo booth.
