A Winter Wedding at Centaur Arabian Farms in Flint, Texas

Lindsey Nance (27 and a nurse/ graduate student) and Kelsey Koon (27 and an engineer) met in high school, but it wasn’t until Lindsey moved to Tyler for graduate school that the two reconnected. Kelsey invited Lindsey to lunch one afternoon, and they have been inseparable ever since. Two years later, Kelsey took Linsey back to the first place they watched the sunset together at Mount Bonnell in Austin, Texas, and asked her to be his wife. Lindsey had always pictured her wedding in the fall or winter time. “I love the coziness of it, the rich colors and feel that makes for a romantic setting,” she says. The couple knew as soon as they looked at Centaur Arabian Farms that it was the perfect venue to bring their vision to life. To achieve a winter, woodsy elegance that would make their guests feel warm on a cold night, the couple complemented the natural beauty of the venue with greenery and winter berries along with many candles to add coziness and romance. The reception menu was a barbecue buffet, after which guests could warm up by an outdoor s’mores bar was set up by the fire pit.
