The Bride Anne Collins, 29, a home design editor The Groom Mike Howard, 34, a social and digital media strategist The Date March 12 Anne and Mike went with a winter theme—complete with birch logs, wooden skis and horse-drawn sleighs. They settled on a complementary color palette of silver, plum, raspberry and cream.

The bridesmaids wore floor-length plum dresses and kept warm in white, faux-fur boleros.
Hydrangeas, freesias, artemisia and tulips topped the tables. A mix of mercury glasses, birch vases and votives dressed up the rustic look.
Despite the cold, the ceremony took place outside overlooking the Green Mountains and Chittenden Reservoir. An arbor of garland-covered branches set a rustic tone.
A romantic horse-drawn sleigh made for the perfect wedding entrance and exit for the mountain setting.
The simple escort cards were set in slits on birch logs resting atop a bed of moss.
Monogrammed cookies (the favors) were tucked into lilac napkins at each seat.
Anne carried purple-centered white calla lilies, ranunculus and peonies, with green accents of coffee berries and ferns.
Purple-fondant ribbon wrapped around the polka-dotted confection. A sliver of a tree trunk served as the cake stand.
