A Woodsy, Bohemian Wedding at Pinewood Weddings And Events in Cambridge, Minnesota

Chrissie Parker and Ryan Nelson got married at Pinewood Weddings And Events, which consists of a Scandinavian-style building in the middle of Minnesota's Northwoods forest. "Ryan is very outdoorsy, while my style is very modern, so we knew Pinewood was a perfect match," Chrissie says. The wedding had a "modern bohemian" theme, with a color palette of neutral, earthy, burnt orange and rust tones. Towering pine trees served as a backdrop to the ceremony, and Chrissie, Ryan and their wedding party stood beneath a hexagonal wood arch built by Ryan's dad. A white runner lined the aisle, and guests sat on simple wood benches. The reception, which took place inside a neutral-colored loft-style room, had plenty of natural elements like pampas grass, wicker, greenery and ceramic details. "We also included several letterboards, because I love the fun, simple, modern look of them," Chrissie says. The wood dining tables were given a pop of color with greenery, pink and white roses and wicker place mats. For dessert, guests dived into cupcakes arranged in a display of shelves and serving carts. "One of our favorite moments was during our dinner reception, when our 2-year-old nephew asked for the microphone and sang the entire “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star” song," Chrissie says.
