A Yellow and Coral Wedding at the Roostertail in Detroit, Michigan

For Ebony Rogers (24 and a clinical social worker) and Jeremy Rogers’s (28 and a federal investigator) wedding, everything was centered on their venue and loved ones. “The Roostertail’s view of the beautiful Detroit, Michigan, riverfront inspired us,” Ebony says. “It was breathtaking. The moment was magical. No other place could have been more amazing.” They worked with her friend Christopher Liner and Distinguishing Creations to make sure the space was highlighted with minimal added decor. Just twin arrangements of calla lilies, roses and greenery were placed at the front of their waterfront ceremony, so every guest had an unobstructed view of the Detroit River. At the reception, they had these bright arrangements filled with more roses and greenery on every table. But what really stood out was the wedding cake. They worked with Josef's European Pastry Shop to have a five-tier confection covered with rhinestones, Swiss dots and bold pink fondant flowers. Everyone was treated to a slice before Ebony and Jeremy made spent the rest of their night catching up with guests and dancing to DJ Kris Harris.
