A Yellow and Gray Wedding at Agota Springs in Kingsport, Tennessee
Lindsey Carter (24 and an airline employee) and Drew Carter (21 and a real estate manager) always knew they would get married at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses: Their parents were married there, so the location was meaningful as well as a place of worship. Inspired by the aesthetic of lemons in vases and the cheeriness of yellow, they went with a color scheme of yellow and gray, which fit the rustic interior of their reception at Agota Springs in Kingsport, Tennessee, a stately home with a Tuscan ambience. Lindsey wanted the decor to reflect her style, so she was very DIY. She brought in wooden slabs for an earthy touch, paired with yellow, white and coral flowers from the Potter’s Shed. Following dinner, she and Drew shared their first dance to “Northern Lights” by the Bowerburgs. Music is important to them, so as wedding favors, they made personalized CDs for all their guests, each hand-tied with drawings of things Lindsey loves. Michelle Lea Photographie was on hand to capture all the sweet moments of Lindsey and Drew’s wedding day, including their sparkler exit. See below.
