An Alfresco Tropical Wedding at the Mansion at Tuckahoe in Jensen Beach, Florida

Playing off the locale’s rich, tropical vibe, Kristen Alyce and Roel Vanmuysen made monstera and bird of paradise, plus a vibrant green color palette a central focus of their coastal fete. From the couple’s down-the-aisle duds to the centerpieces and the photo booth backdrop, every element of the day reflected the foliage-focused theme. The bridesmaids donned custom, hand-painted dresses from by VIVRE Couture (Kristen’s own label), Kristen’s asymmetric gown featured a detachable tropical train and the groomsmen completed their classic black suits with neon monstera bow ties. “I couldn’t wait to step out of the Rolls-Royce in my huge hand-painted gown for our guests and Roel to see for the first time,” Kristen says. “It was so much fun and so much work to make it all happen, that sharing it with those we love most was extremely special to me.” In lieu of classic florals, lush tropical leaves dominated the arrangements and bouquets. “It was such a fun way to keep our wedding memories, as all of the plants we purchased for the wedding are now planted in our yard,” Kristen says. To make the wedding’s organic elements pop, the couple went for sleek white tables and chiavari chairs for the reception. Warm candlelight and shimmering silver and stainless steel accents helped balance the aesthetic, introducing an elegant, modern vibe to the décor.
