An Earthy, Vintage Wedding at Alegria Mango Farm in Southwest Ranches, Florida

For their late winter wedding in Southern Florida, Sabrina Talamo (28 and a college dance professor) and Kyle Ringger (26 and a scientist) decided to return to the spot where they first met — Kyle’s family mango farm. The couple let the natural surroundings inform the day’s vibe. They chose an earthy, vintage theme for the affair with dramatic touches of regal red and gold for both the ceremony and reception. To take advantage of the lakeside setting, Sabrina and Kyle hosted the ceremony along the water and the reception on the farm’s expansive lawn. A canopy of string lights illuminated cocktail hour and guests danced the night away on an open-air dance floor under the canopy of an oak tree. The arbor, dressed with a generous rose garland, was built by the groom’s mother. In keeping with the earth-inspired theme and rich palette, the sweetheart table was set against a spectacular backdrop of greenery. Burlap linens and tall gold candlesticks decorated wood farmhouse tables. “After visiting several venues, we couldn’t find a place more beautiful that allowed us to be creative with the space,” Sabrina says. At the reception, Sabrina’s aunt surprised the couple with La Hora Loca (“the crazy hour” in Spanish), complete with brightly colored, costumed dancers.
