Cutting the Cake
The couple chose a three-tier vanilla pound cake with buttercream frosting, decorated with a Swiss-dot pattern and a fun cake topper.
Casey wore a masculine boutonniere that contained a ranunculus bloom along with a scabiosa pod and sprigs of lavender.
“Stepping away from traditional stationery, we went with an understated, kraft paper feel, punctuated with the use of assorted vintage stamps,” Alison recalls.
Alison wanted a timeless look, so she chose a simple, elegant Chantilly lace gown with a sleeveless V-neck bodice, fit-and-flare skirt and sweep train.
The ceremony took place outdoor at the Nine Muses at the Grounds for Sculpture, nestled in a magnificent landscape with acres of greenery, flowers, statues, sculptures and peacocks.
Casey’s parents live out near Princeton, and when we visited the Grounds for Sculpture we fell in love with it, says Alison. It was so unique, beautiful and very much us.:
