An Edgy-Meets-Boho Wedding at Front and Palmer in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Madison and Tim wanted, "a dark, moody and intimate vibe," for their wedding at Front and Palmer in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. To bring their day to life, they turned the event into a true friends-and-family affair. "my 6th grade history teacher-turned-friend officiated the wedding and her two little girls were our flower girls. The guitarist in my dad's old band played acoustic guitar as guests were being seated and I walked down the aisle. Having people we love play such big roles in our big day truly meant the most to us," Madison says.
Madison went on to share that, "when we talked about having a wedding, I wasn't certain of much other than I knew my friend Ali, owner of Blonde and Blue Boutique, had to style it. Ali and I have worked side by side on countless photo shoots together (she's a creative director, I'm a makeup artist)...her work is pure magic. Hiring her was the best decision I made. She knows our style, and I gave her full artistic control. When we walked into that room, we were completely SHOCKED at how her vision came to life. She replaced every single piece of furniture at Front and Palmer with something antique/ vintage. She spent 9 months carefully curating pieces that fit our style. Every detail was perfect and personal. A month before the wedding Ali asked us for a list of 15 things that represented us as individuals and our relationship. On the day of the wedding she surprised us with a personalized seating chart. She took each of those words and had our friend, Carissa, illustrate them (there was even an illustration of our puppy!). We saved the illustrations from the tables and have it hanging in our home as a gallery wall, it was such a beautiful surprise and something we will cherish forever."
