Minh Thu Nguyen (31, in pediatric) and Forrest Wittenmeier (32, director of property management) went salsa dancing for their first dance and, over three years later, used their talent for the first dance at their wedding. Two years into their relationship, Forrest proposed to Minh during a hike on the tallest peak on Mount Tamaulipas, California. The couple had their wedding ceremony and reception at St. Vincent’s School for Boys in Marin County, where not only did Minh and Forrest fall in love but where Forrest’s parents had gotten married as well. The gorgeous high ceilings of St. Vincent’s church created a beautiful vibe during the ceremony, resembling the artwork of the Sistine Chapel in the Vatican and creating elegant with a touch of Italian style. The reception was held in the adjacent courtyard right outside of the church, where there was a natural backdrop of the nearby bay. A color palette of coral, green and white decorated the wedding space that was filled with garden roses and lilies. All of the décor elements on the day of the wedding contributed to the elegant event that no one wanted to leave at the end of the night, especially the bride and the groom!

Engagement and Wedding Rings in Coral Rose
“We got married at the same Catholic Church that Forrest's parents had gotten married at 32 years prior,” says Minh. “Having a full catholic ceremony meant a lot to Forrest and I. Marin County is also where we fell in love, and where we hope to settle one day.”
The bride wore ivory heeled shoes with ankle straps, accented on the tops with crystals.
Minh had a pink and orange bridal bouquet with a variety of roses and lilies held together with lace.
The bride wore an ivory strapless heart shaped dress designed by Jinza Couture Bridal and held her flower bouquet.
Minh stood with her bridesmaids, who were all dressed in coral colored dresses with a variety of styles.
Wedding Sign Outside of Venue
“St. Vincent's has high painted ceilings reminiscent of the Sistine Chapel, and we had our reception outdoors in the adjacent courtyard that overlooked the Bay,” says Minh. “The feel was very elegant with a touch of Italian elegance.”

“Our first date was salsa dancing, and three and a half years later, a salsa dance was our first dance at our wedding,” says Minh.

Happy Couple Shot at Wedding
“We had an almost 2 hour-long cocktail hour,” says Minh. “We decided to take pictures before the wedding so Forrest and I would have more time to mingle with our guests. It was so worth it, and that was some of the most memorable moments of the night.”
