Brittney Rupert (27 and a science curriculum specialist) and Jeff Rupert (29 and a Los Angeles County Sheriff Deputy) met at a bar while they were living in Hermosa Beach, California. Jeff and Brittney were watching the NCAA March Madness game and rooting for opposite teams, so naturally there was heated discussion back and forth. However, there was no mistaking there was flirtatious chemistry, and so they exchanged numbers by the end of the night. The couple bonded over their love of sports, began to date and eventually moved into their first apartment together. During a visit to Jeff’s family at Easter, the couple was participating in an egg game that his nieces and nephews put together. Little did Brittney know that at the end of the game, Jeff would be down on one knee with an engagement ring! The couple had their wedding at La Venta Inn on the Palos Verdes peninsula in California, a restored Spanish villa that dates back to the 1920s. The rich history and ocean panoramic views were enough to win Brittney and Jeff over. The coral and gray color palette decorated many details for the elegant wedding day, from the stationary to the flower arrangements and even the roses that accented the wedding cake! “We ended our night by having our limo transport us and our bridal party to Hennessey's Tavern where we met,” says the couple. “As we walked down the Hermosa Beach pier, there was a lot of cheering, congratulating and pictures being taken. It was so special to end the night dancing away to the sounds of a live band at the very bar where our love story began.”

“The dress was an ivory Allure Romance fit-and-flare soft organza style gown, and I matched that with champagne-colored Badgley Mischka rhinestone bridal shoes,” says Brittney. “My grandmother bought me a gorgeous cathedral length veil to add to my wedding day look. My gown had beautiful sweetheart neckline, so I chose not to wear a necklace and instead finished off my look with a simple pearl bracelet and pearl earrings given to me as a wedding gift by my mother.”

“After getting ready, our day began with a first look at a location on the beach where we lived,” says Brittney. “We now get to reminisce on that moment when we go for a run on the beach past that location.”

“My bouquet included stunning coral garden roses, white calla lilies accented with dusty miller,” says Brittney. “It included a personal touch with my great grandmother's diamond necklace wrapped into the flowers.”
“Jeff wore an Allure suit in Steele grey with a charcoal cravat striped tie,” says Brittney. “The groomsmen wore the same suit, but in a lighter Heather grey with a coral savvi solid, ombre tie and pocket square.”
“The bridesmaids wore layered chiffon coral dresses with a ruched sweetheart neckline by Allure,” says Brittney. “I finished off their look with an infinity symbol gold necklace to represent how important each one of them is to us.”
“The venue offered panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean and Los Angeles, including the South Bay where we met and lived,” says Brittney. “We also fell in love with its rich history as it was the first structure to be completed on the peninsula.”
“During our ceremony, Jeff and I filled a personalized vase with two colors of sand to represent our commitment and the blending of our two families,” says Brittney. “During the sand ceremony, the song "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" was played by my cousin and close family friend to represent our Kansas roots.”

“It was such a special moment during our ceremony to get completely lost in each others' eyes while being captivated by the tender, personal words we spoke about the commitment we were making, the journey we have been on and what our future has in store,” says Brittney.
