A destination wedding could not have been more perfect for Stephanie and Nathan at the Shorehouse at Omni Oceanfront Resort. With a stunning backdrop

A destination wedding could not have been more perfect for Stephanie and Nathan at the Shorehouse at Omni Oceanfront Resort. With a stunning backdrop of palm trees on the beautiful Hilton Head Island, the couple tied the knot surrounded by their closest family and friends. With guests having to travel over ten hours for the event, Stephanie and Nathan's wedding planner, Amanda Spencer with Spencer Special Events, arranged welcome boxes that the guests received upon check in. "The items in the box were unique to Nathan and I, and included two beverages, Palmetto Kettle popcorn, milk chocolate salted caramels, West Virginia state cookie, West Virginia pepperoni rolls, map of Hilton Head Island, and a welcome letter," says Stephanie. With her inspiration coming from Pinterest and The Knot, Stephanie gathered a deep purple and gray color palette. This scheme was brought throughout the centerpieces and various floral arrangements for the reception. "I put my trust in Dawn from A Floral Affair and did a phenomenal job. She really exceeded our expectations," says Stephanie. The couple's wedding cake was a three-tiered masterpiece consisting of three different tiers. With vanilla bean cake with strawberry filling on the bottom, chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream as the middle tier, and carrot cake with cream cheese icing as the top tier, guests still had plenty of room to enjoy the other desserts too. "We had mini desserts too, such as key lime pie squares, tiramisu in shot glasses, pecan squares, and mini cheesecakes," says Stephanie. A little piece of advice from the bride: "Soak up and enjoy every single moment of the planning process. Everything will be perfect in the end," says Stephanie.

Stephanie's wedding ring is a gorgeous round stone with a pave diamond band from Henne Jewelers in Pittsburgh.
While perusing The Knot, Stephanie found Exquisite Bride in Murrysville, Pennsylvania where she purchased her Maggie Sottero wedding dress made of Paris chiffon.
White Satin Bridal Robe
"My bouquet was composed of a variety of full white flowers including roses, freesia, glad blooms, rannunculus, tulips, lisianthus with a touch of sparkle," says Stephanie.
Wedding Shoes with Loving Sentiment
The groomsmen enjoyed a golf outing at an Arnold Palmer course two days before the wedding.
Simple Wedding Programs
"I really wanted to create that soft, romantic look with white drapes that would catch some of the ocean breeze coming up to the Shorehouse," says Stephanie.

During the cocktail hour, Stephanie and Nathan served a myriad of dishes such as roasted vegetables on baguette, smoked salmon on pumpernickel, curry chicken salad in phyllo, crab salad on cucumber round, and blackened filet with horseradish on crouton.
The bottom tier of Stephanie and Nathan's wedding cake consisted of a vanilla bean cake with strawberry filling. They chose a chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream for the middle tier while carrot cake with cream cheese icing filled the top tier.
With deep purples in mind, the couple's florist from A Floral Affair transformed the reception space with towering centerpieces made of roses and hydrangeas.
While browsing GQ magazine, Nathan found The Black Tux, a reasonably priced tuxedo rental website where Nathan and his groomsmen rented their gray suits.
