An Elegant Edwardian Era Inspired Wedding at Houmas House Plantation in Darrow, Louisiana

Tyler Caitlin Lott (28, a Historical Preservationist) and Matthew Henry LeBoeuf (40, an Emergency Medicine Physician) wanted a ceremony under a large oak tree. "As a child, I grew up playing under the many massive, ancient oak trees of New Orleans and through all stages of my life, they seemed to always surround me. It seemed only fitting to have them around for one of the most important days of our life," Tyler explains. The couple found the perfect 500 year old tree at the Houmas House Plantation in Darrow, Louisiana. Inspired by the historical significance of their location and Tyler's love for the Edwardian era, the couple's theme reflected the elegance of that period of time, with a color palette of ivory, peach and green with purple accents to bring out the Edwardian elegance of their unique wedding.
