An Elegant Folksy Wedding at The Inn at Mountain View Farm in East Burke, Vermont

Katie Urso (30, Designer) met John Biehn (31, Sales Professional) in Jackson Hole, Wyoming through a mutual friend. Both lovers of the outdoors, the newly set-up pair opted for a mountain bike adventure as their first date. The two amateurs bravely cycled on the top of Teton Pass together, not knowing the sport would eventually bond them together. After years of summer bike rides and winter ski dates, the adventurous duo set out for a routine morning ride in the woods near their now Connecticut home. Little did Katie know, John had a special surprise waiting at a sunny spot where they planned to take a break. On bended knee, John asked Katie for her hand, while a shocked Katie was too stunned to even dismount her set of wheels. The soon to be Mr. and Mrs. knew they wanted their big day to embrace the beauty of the outdoors they love so dearly, ultimately deciding on the Inn at Mountain View Farm in East Burke, Vermont. Here, the couple hosted a wedding weekend featuring not one but four musical ensembles and activites to keep guests entertained. “We were able to transform our wedding into a mini music festival with mountain biking, hiking, brewery tours and corn mazes to fill the days,” says bride Katie.
