Nancy Cinque (33 and a visual display stylist) and Michael Arcello (33 and a sales director) grew up in neighboring towns and were friends for several years before they began dating. For their wedding at the Foundry in Long Island City, New York, the couple highlighted the venue’s distinctive interiors and architecture. “We were looking for an urban setting with a rustic, garden atmosphere,” Michael says. “The space was so beautiful that we did not want to change much, only enhance it with greenery and white flowers.” The ceremony was held before 110 guests in the Green Room, which was equipped with a long skylight that helped illuminate the space. At the reception, which took place in the Foundry’s main room, an exposed-bulb chandelier added rustic ambiance. Long banquet tables were topped with crisp white linens, a lush lemon leaf and eucalyptus garland, and tall white candles. For a memorable touch, guests could relax in the venue’s courtyard around a cozy fire pit. Michael's advice for other couples is to keep things light: “Whatever you do, make sure you can laugh together and find fun in anything life may throw your way.” —Carolyn Meers

Keeping with the day's crisp white palette, each of Nancy's bridesmaids wore a different lacy white knee-length dress. "I wanted them to like their dress and feel comfortable," Nancy says. Bouquets were made with white peonies and roses and eucalyptus and lemon leaves.

Nancy and Michael exchanged vows in the Foundry's Green Room, which is built with a stunning, greenhouse-like skylight. “We chose the Green Room because of the skylight that spread across the entire ceiling, which fed the room with light,” Nancy says.
