An Elegant Garden Wedding at Haiku Mill in Haiku, Hawaii
Marissa Liu and Alex Dioso went out for a belated Valentine's Day dinner and dessert date one night in Seattle, Washington. When they returned home, the couple took a moment and embraced at the bottom of the staircase. Alex told Marissa he loved her, and she jokingly responded with “Well, if you love it so much, why don’t you marry it?” As Alex told her he agreed, he got down on one knee, shocking Marissa with a proposal and an engagement ring. The couple had their romantic, elegant wedding surrounded by the gardens at Haiku Mill in Maui, Hawaii, a former factory for sugarcane that was converted into an event venue. The ivy-covered walls were complemented in the color palette of pink, ivory and brown. Dining tables had lush flower centerpieces made of ivory roses, pink hydrangeas and hypericum berries, which were identified by table numbers on photos of various flower arrangements. A tower of iced cupcakes was neatly arranged on a stand for dessert, and a small ivory wedding cake covered in coconut shavings was positioned on top.
