An Elegant, Glamorous Wedding at Ancient Spanish Monastery in Miami, Florida

Jacqueline Salem (28 and a director of national accounts for a spirit company) and Mark Salem (36 and a relationship manager in commercial lending) took the naturally beautiful space at the Ancient Spanish Monastery in Miami, Florida, and added blush and gold tones with plenty of glassware and candlelight to create an elegant, glamorous wedding inspired by Jacqueline's visit to Paris. "I loved the elegance, the sophistication and the style that was dripping out of every place I went to," Jacqueline says. "I wanted to have an intimate wedding that was just as romantic as I found Paris to be." When it came to finding her perfect wedding dress, Jacqueline wanted an elegant dress reminiscent of Princess Diana's wedding dress. She chose a beautiful Lazaro strapless dress with a fitted bodice and an intricate layered train. "I ended up planning the rest of the day around the dress," she says. The wedding-day photographer, Gloria Ruth Photography, captured every sophisticated element from the outdoor ceremony with detailed surrounding architecture to the indoor reception with various patterns and textures. "I didn't want anything to feel uniformed, so I chose different linens, paying close attention to textures and fabrics," Jacqueline says. Keeping with that vision, centerpieces included blush and white bouquets of roses, orchids and hydrangeas created by the wedding's florist, Avant Gardens. The gorgeous centerpieces were also surrounded by various accents, including pearls, candles and feathers, adding to the glamorous style. Jacqueline really admired the wedding's blush and gold-trimmed stationery, created by an Etsy designer. "They were to die for," she says. "I still gush over them when I look at them."
