An Elegant Indian Fusion Wedding at Blue Hill Farm at Stone Barns in Tarrytown, New York
Indrani Franchini and Dennis Heidt planned a colorful, bohemian-inspired, Indian fusion wedding at Blue Hill Farm at Stone Barns. The color palette was variations of deep saturated reds with accents of rich orange, pastel salmon and gold. At the ceremony, guests sat around a nontraditional mandap with flowers, tassels and garlands of hops. Dennis processed into the ceremony during a baraat on a white horse, and the couple also channeled Hindu culture with their fashion choices. Indrani wore a lehenga, henna applied the day before the wedding, gold jewelry and dozens of bangles. Dennis wore a long gold sherwani, white trousers, leather loafers and a traditional turban adorned with a brooch to symbolize respect. The couple changed into Indian fusion outfits for the reception, which featured gold lanterns, vines and simple décor. Statues of Hindu god Ganesha served as both escort cards and wedding favors, and the night ended with an eclectic tiered cheese cake.
Our favorite #MakeTradition Moment: The couple's children walked them down the aisle: Indrani was escorted by her two sons, and Dennis was escorted by his two daughters and son.
