Ericka Nance (31 and a SICU RN) and Jonathon Hannon (29 and a USDA FSA) wanted their guests to feel comfortable at their wedding, as if they were just attending a family holiday dinner. The couple chose a simple, elegant theme with organic touches, to make their wedding feel as cozy as their own home. The ceremony was held in the same room as the reception, with an aisle created by rows of tables lined together, and the couple exchanging vows in front of the lit fireplace in the room. Seeded eucalyptus garlands and candle lanterns decorated the tables, adding to the simple, elegant look of the wedding. Ericka wore an Adrianna Papell tulle rosette beaded waist gown, with an added infinity beaded applique added by a tailor. A simple bouquet of white roses, hydrangeas, and succulents complemented her dress. Since Mesa Luna Restaurant prides itself on farm to table food sourced locally, dinner was a delicious affair: beef brisket and chicken sliders on pretzel buns with a variety of sauces were served at the bar for appetizers, followed by pan fried chicken breast, oven roasted beef, and blackened shrimp served up for entrees. For dessert everyone enjoyed a variety of cakes and a selection of Ericka and Jonathon's favorite cookies baked by their families.
