Tina Ray (29, in the Department of Veterans Affairs) and Erik Belty (32, United States Navy Corpsman) met through mutual friends at a dinner party they were both invited to. After dating for some time, Erik proposed during a moment that it was just the two of them, and so they began to plan their wedding. Although they originally planned to have a larger wedding, the couple had an elopement at San Francisco City Hall to create a small and intimate day focused on celebrating their love. Tina wore a short white dress from BCBG and Erik wore a black Vera Wang tux, keeping the wedding attire very simple and easy. Tina and Erik chose a basic color palette of black and white to compliment the elegant look of the courthouse. Erik purchased a bouquet of red flowers for Tina while she was getting her hair done. After a causal wedding ceremony inside the city hall, the happily married couple and their guests went on a tour of the city and had dinner at Cha Cha Cha’s restaurant. After having a variety of shared dishes and ate the tres leches wedding cake, the couple and their guests went back to where Tina and Erik were staying at the Hotel Majestic and enjoyed each other’s company for the rest of the night.

The bride wore a pair of silver sparkly shoes on her wedding day, and held bouquet of red roses and ivory lilies and hydrangeas. "Erik had the flowers made at a flower stand on the street while I was getting my hair done right before the wedding," says Tina.
"My dress had white beading on the straps that matched the beading on my veil perfectly," says Tina. "I chose the dress that made me feel the most like a vintage courthouse bride."
