An Elegant Mediterranean-Style Wedding at a Private Estate in Carmel, California

Natalie Pavich’s (29 and a food stylist) grandparents’ estate set the scene for her and Eric Drobny’s (30 and director of programming at Bleacher Report) relaxed, Mediterranean-inspired alfresco celebration. “We wanted to highlight and use the palm trees to create a romantic and exotic experience with a nuanced, natural palette,” Natalie says. The couple chose earthy tones like olive and stone gray with hints of indigo and blood orange, which were woven into the florals, dinnerware and bridesmaid dresses. To keep with the Mediterranean theme, hand-painted invitations resembled a pink and purple Moroccan sunset and were accented with a hand-pressed fern leaf. At the outdoor reception, rustic farm tables were placed under a long wood trellis, which was decorated with vines and hanging lanterns. Arrangements of blush garden roses and iridescent plates topped the tables dressed with sand-colored linen runners. After dinner, Natalie and Eric joined their guests on the dance floor, where their 12-piece band played all night. “This is supposed to be a day that reflects you, so let your love shine,” the bride says.
