From the looks of this venue, you won’t believe the wedding of Amy Scanio (28 and a certified public accountant) and John Scanio (34 and a financial analyst) is just outside Austin, Texas. Amy knew from the moment she and John were engaged that she wanted the wedding to take place at Villa Antonia in Jonestown, Texas—she was captivated by the stunning setting, from the romantic architecture to the bright and vivacious foliage. “We felt as though we had ventured to a secluded European city, all while staying true to our Texas roots,” Amy says. Their wedding style was elegant with the ambience of a European villa. “I chose cobalt blue as the signature color because of the way it pops against any setting,” Amy says. Understated hues of gray and silver supported her bold choice. The ceremony took place outdoors, where there was an abundance of natural foliage and flourishing gardens with an exaggerated palette of flowers. During the cocktail hour, a harpist and a violinist teamed up to play Frank Sinatra and The Beatles favorites, followed by a formal dinner in the wine cellar and dancing in the chapel. A stand-out detail? The bride is most proud of her table numbers, which she made using photos of she and John at the corresponding numerical ages. “It was a true joint family effort to wrangle that many photos and dating that far back, before digital photography,” she says. “Going through baby photos and hearing stories from John made me feel even closer to him than I already did. It’s such a wonderful thing to know the moments that helped shape the person you are spending the rest of your life with.” See the romantic details, captured by Svetlana Photography, below.

Continuing with the idea of romantic European villa setting, Amy’s wedding dress had a sheer long train, which she paired with an elegant cathedral veil.
The bridesmaids wore flowing cobalt blue dresses with a flattering empire waist that flowed in the breeze. “I wanted all the girls to be comfortable, while still feeling confident and sexy,” Amy says.
The groomsmen wore black suits with matching cobalt blue ties and boutonnieres. John stood apart—he wore a patterned tie with a white boutonniere.

Amy carried a bouquet of cobalt blue hydrangeas to tie into her bold color palette. “I chose cobalt blue as the signature color because of the way it pops against any setting,” she says.
The groomsmen wore blue delphinium boutonnieres with greenery accents to match the bold color palette and the bridesmaid dresses.
Soft baby’s breath was woven throughout the soft birch-wood wedding arch. “I wanted to keep the colors subtle, so as not to clash or detract from the natural beauty of the surroundings,” Amy says.

One of the groomsmen surprised the couple by bringing along his famous confetti gun, which took the dance party to a new level. “All the guests had a great time taking turns shooting off the confetti and dancing around in the streams,” Amy says.
