An Elegant Multicultural Wedding at Oceanstone Seaside Resort in Indian Harbour, Nova Scotia

Thanh Phung (29 and a pharmacist) and Jon Johannsson (30 and a partner at Bluenose Seafood) celebrated two ceremonies over two days at Oceanstone Seas

Thanh Phung (29 and a pharmacist) and Jon Johannsson (30 and a partner at Bluenose Seafood) celebrated two ceremonies over two days at Oceanstone Seaside Resort in Indian Harbour, Nova Scotia. The first was dedicated to Thanh's Vietnamese heritage, as the couple performed a traditional Vietnamese tea ceremony. Thanh, Jon, and the bridesmaids and groomsmen all wore traditional ao dai gowns that were made in Vietnam. The second ceremony was Western, with an elegant theme brought to life by a palette of gold, cream and blush and baby's breath, garden roses, wax roses, spider mums and dusty miller in the bouquets, boutonnieres and centerpieces. After a delicious dinner of braised short ribs, roasted asparagus and pan-seared haddock, everyone enjoyed vanilla and raspberry macarons for dessert. The couple's dog, Lily, was part of both ceremonies. She even wore a tulle skirt for the Western ceremony!
Thanh's soft, romantic bouquet was filled with blush garden roses, white roses, dusty miller, baby's breath, and brunia.
The bridesmaids carried simple bouquets with large white spider mums surrounded by bunches of baby's breath.
For the Western ceremony, the bridesmaids wore one-shoulder blush chiffon dresses.
The Western ceremony was held outdoors, overlooking the ocean at Oceanstone Seaside Resort in Indian Harbour, Nova Scotia.
In lieu of a traditional wedding cake, guests enjoyed vanilla and raspberry macarons.
