An Elegant Natural Wedding at Ma Maison in Dripping Springs, Texas

Voted the cutest couple in their graduating class, Emily Sykes (25 and a child and adolescent counselor) and Mason Ellis (25 and partner/CFO of Ellis Air Systems) began dating as high schoolers. Their relationship continued through college at Texas A&M University, and a few years after graduating, Emily and Mason tied the knot in a romantic Hill Country wedding in the Texas town of Dripping Springs. Emily walked down the aisle in a paisley-patterned lace strapless gown, which combined classic and modern elements with a traditional veil. The ceremony was held at the Grove at Ma Maison, an oak-lined outdoor space, while the reception took place in the venue's Great Hall. Guests enjoyed the blackberry sangria and family-style bites like New York strip, quail and duck-fat-roasted potatoes. As guests settled in for a night of celebrating, the newlyweds shared a first dance to “Next to Heaven,” performed live by Aaron Watson. “My advice for future brides is to invite everyone," Emily says. "Include as many people as possible to celebrate this special day with you.” —Caroline Eubanks
