An Elegant Outdoor Wedding at Olowalu Plantation House in Maui, Hawaii
Erin Fleming (26 and a CEO) and Jacob Lowenthal (30 and a lawyer) knew they wanted a wedding location with beautiful outdoor landscaping. They found Olowalu Plantation House in Maui, Hawaii, and fell in love with the nearby waterfront, views of the island and a natural rock pier—perfect for their elegant island wedding. A variety of whites, pinks and greens shaped the day's lovely look through flower arrangements—from the rose, succulent and ranunculus bridal bouquet to the glass bowl centerpieces filled with succulents, hydrangeas and roses. The ceremony took place on the lawn, with a gorgeous backdrop of the surrounding waters. The flower girl dressed in blue sprinkled rose petals down the grassy aisle, adding pops of pink to the green surface. After Erin and Jacob shared their first kiss, friends and family walked over to the outdoor reception space. A rock placed on top of each setting had names of guests written in white, with two red fabric hearts placed on each side of the nontraditional escort card. Erin and Jacob took their seats at chairs with wooden signs that read "better together" and ended the night on a sweet note with slices of white cake topped with fresh fruit. Our favorite detail? Erin's gorgeous white wedding dress designed by Casablanca, with a mermaid-style silhouette and a sheer pink underlay that added a touch of romance.
