The spacious lawn at Triunfo Creek Vineyards in Agoura Hills, California, was the perfect fit for this elegant wedding with a rustic twist, which was filled with yard games, socializing near the bar and dancing. “Kyle and I grew up in beautiful places with summers that were filled with nature and being outdoors at cabins on lakes,” Christina Johnson (24 and in sales) says of her marriage to Kyle Komen (25 and in entertainment). “It was important to us for people to feel at home and be able to let loose.” The ceremony took place at St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church in Westlake Village, California, where black-and-white wedding programs were passed out that reflected the simple, traditional event, beautifully captured by William Innes Photography. Guests filtered out of the church and headed to the vineyard reception, where wooden dining tables and chairs were decorated with neutral-color flower centerpieces. Seating assignments framed in a variety of elegant gold frames were arranged on a rustic table and guided friends and families to their seats, thanks to the assistance of Kristeen LaBrot Events. “Although it is a bigger expense, hire a wedding planner, especially if both the bride and groom are working full time,” Christina says. “Our wedding planner, Kristeen, saved my mental sanity throughout the wedding-planning process.” What was our favorite detail at this love fest? The gorgeously overflowing white, yellow and pink flower arrangements at every table in sight, which perfectly embodied the pale pink and champagne color palette that helped shape the romantic occasion.

Christina wore a pair of crystal teardrop earrings with her ivory strapless wedding dress, adding a touch of sparkle to the outfit. "I wanted to look natural and not overdone," Christina says. "I wanted to look soft, elegant and effortless."

Kyle sported a three-piece suit in a charcoal gray color for the wedding day, worn with a black tie and a white collared shirt that was complemented by a matching pocket square. There was an ivory rose boutonniere accented with leaves pinned to the lapel of his jacket.
Christina and Kyle were married at St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church in Westlake Village, California, where they stood at the front of the altar surrounded by their bridesmaids and groomsmen. The bridesmaids wore knee-length light pink dresses while the groomsmen wore charcoal gray suits. "We had our wedding at one of the most stunning churches we had ever seen," Christina says. "It was all dark wood on the inside, which happened to go with the look of our wedding. We wrote our own wedding vows, and Kyle's two brothers performed a song for us during the ceremony, which was very special."
Simple Black-and-White Wedding Program
The couple walked with their wedding party as they celebrated their marriage. Christina held up her long ivory wedding dress train accented in lace, which revealed her white ankle boots. Kyle held up his arm in his three-piece charcoal suit, which the groomsmen wore as well.
A wooden table on wheels added a touch of rustic ambience to the outdoor reception decor. On top of the wood was an overflowing flower arrangement, filled with a variety of neutral-color roses, hydrangeas and peonies.

A wooden table that gave off a rustic flair contrasted with the gold-framed seating assignments, where guests could find their designated spot for the reception. The table was accented with neutral-colored flower arrangements in gold vases, which matched the dining-table centerpieces.
Dining tables were marked with numbers written in white and displayed on pieces of sandpaper. The table numbers were surrounded by elegant, neutral-color flower centerpieces filled with a variety of roses, hydrangeas and peonies.
In addition to the wedding cake, the couple also had a dessert table to show their love for sweets. The desserts, which ranged from cake balls to cheesecake shooters and cookies, were displayed on a rustic wooden table at the reception.
The two-tier wedding cake was covered in white buttercream frosting, and was accented with neutral-color flowers on the side and top. The cake was positioned on top of a silver stand for guests to admire and enjoy.
