An Elegant Pastel Wedding at Ashton Gardens in Corinth, Texas

rn Courtney Merritt (25 and a teacher) and Logan Merritt (25 and a physical therapist) originally wanted an outdoor wedding, but they knew that might be a challenge in the Texas summer heat. Ashton Gardens in Corinth, Texas, still felt like the outdoors while offering an escape from the elements: It was the floor-to-ceiling windows and intricate wooden beams inside the chapel at Ashton Gardens that sold them on getting married there. They incorporated mint and blush hues to go with the neutral and ivory hues of the chapel and reception hall. Haute Floral brought in lush, textured flowers, including peonies, garden roses and hydrangeas to enhance the garden inspiration and add pops of color. Music was a big part of Courtney and Logan’s wedding day: Their DJ, Uptown Sound, played “The Vow” and “Canon in D” for the processional songs, followed by a recessional to “Signed, Sealed, Delivered I'm Yours” by Stevie Wonder. And for a Texas touch of country, they shared their first dance to “Making Memories of Us” by Keith Urban.
