An Elegant, Romantic Wedding at Rosebank Winery in Newtown, Pennsylvania
Does it still count as a blind date if it turns out you've met before? Amanda Gale (28 and a registered nurse) and Bo Johnson (31 and an automotive client adviser) found themselves in this fortuitous situation when they were set up by mutual friends. They had met four years before their first date at a local bar, but although they had exchanged numbers, they never kept in touch. "Our friends didn't realize we had previously met, so it was pretty funny," says Amanda. "We look back on it now and call it fate." This lucky couple's gorgeous fall wedding took place at the Rosebank Winery in Newtown, Pennsylvania. In ruby, purple, gray, white and gold, their celebration was warm, rustic and full of natural touches. The vineyard's barn was blooming with gold vases filled with dahlias, roses, scabiosa pods and hydrangeas. Guests found their escort cards attached to seasonal mini white pumpkins. Eco-conscious favors consisted of honey sticks and seeds for flowers that provide honey bees with a source of pollen. Amanda and Bo's three-tier wedding cake was whimsical both in its flavors and its appearance: it consisted of pumpkin cake and honey lavender cake, and its fluffy buttercream frosting was flavored honey goat cheese. This romantic wedding was a truly beautiful celebration of Amanda and Bo's union.
