Meghan Siller (27 and a healthcare) and Brandon Smith (29 and vice president in finance) met in New York City at a wine bar in the neighborhood where they both lived. While talking over a glass of wine, they found out they had a lot in common, including living in the same apartment building — talk about a small world. For their wedding, the couple headed to the Graylyn Estate in Brandon's hometown of Winston-Salem, NC. "Brandon's dad was ill and it was important to us that as much of his family be able to attend the wedding as possible," says Meghan of the location. Before heading to the grand estate for a fun-filled night of dinner and dancing under the stars, the couple exchanged vows in a traditional ceremony at Home Moravian Church in Old Salem, where generations of Brandon's family had been married. When it came to choosing the decor, Meghan and Brandon opted for a soft, romantic vibe, with a muted color palette of dusty shale, slate grey, blush and cream with pops of lavender and lush full blooms displayed alongside ivory candles. "Our venue was so beautiful architecturally that we wanted to make sure the decor and flowers didn't take away from the venue itself," says Meghan. Fun, personal touches included ice sculptures that were used by the bar tenders to serve drinks, a make-your-own sundae bar in lieu of traditional wedding cake, a live band and a delicious menu with Southern flair.

Classic Wedding Gown and Suit
Meghan carried a romantic bouquet of ivory garden roses, white peonies, blush spray roses, veronica and lavender down the aisle.
The bridesmaids wore short chiffon dresses from J.Crew in a light sage green color. Strapless sweetheart necklines gave the dresses a fun, flirty touch, while the neutral color and laid-back style ensured the girls would be able to wear the dresses again.
The bridesmaids' bouquets were filled with romantic blush and ivory blooms like peonies, spray roses, and astilbes.
For a classic, traditional look, the groomsmen sported dark gray suits, which they paired with bright pink ties as a nod to the wedding's color palette.

Using fresh, flavorful ingredients was high on Meghan and Brandon's priority list. For their signature cocktail they opted for basil gimlets, using freshly grown herbs.

"As a tribute to our first date, rather than having guests sign a guest book, we had three wine bottles for them to sign. We plan to open them over time at different milestones in our life together like our five year anniversary," says Meghan.rn
"Rather than having a traditional wedding cake, we brought in an ice cream cart and had a station for sundaes which was a big hit with the guests," says Meghan.
