Although the barn reception venue shows no age—with its beautiful wooden beams that twinkle with string lights and clean stonework on the walls bordering the room—Santa Margarita Ranch has a deeply rooted history that dates centuries in Santa Margarita, California. Keviann Lee (27 and a wedding coordinator) and Ben Dennison (29 and a construction project engineer) booked the ranch for their wedding with an elegant spin, falling in love with the outdoor lawn space surrounded by oak trees and the indoor barn venue that embodied the rustic-chic elements they were looking for. Wedding invitations sent to guests were printed on white stationery tied with yarn, with nude and black whimsical fonts and designs that were captured on camera by Nicole Caldwell Studio. Rows of white folding chairs faced the elevated stone platform outside, where Keviann and Ben had their wedding ceremony. Escort cards were attached to wire bordered by a wooden frame, assigning guests to round dining tables marked by gold metal numbers with a white backdrop. The glittery blush sweetheart table embodied the romance of the day, positioned underneath a rustic hanging chandelier dripping with roses and white linens. We loved that Keviann and Ben incorporated their love for baseball into their wedding day—from the ring bearer holding a baseball mitt down the aisle to the rival baseball-team topper placed on the cake. Our favorite had to be the wooden baseball bat alternative to a guest book, which friends and family signed throughout the celebration. "Make sure you don't dwell on the little things that may go wrong," Keviann says. "The most important thing is that you are marrying your best friend and starting a life together and you are sharing that moment with those who are close to you."

For the invitations, we had a friend help us design them based on some designs that we liked and put together ourselves,” Keviann says. “We had incorporated the manila shipping tags as our save-the-dates and carried that through to a thank-you insert in the napkins, along with place cards as well that were DIY.”

Keviann and Ben were married on an elevated stone platform outside at Santa Margarita Ranch in Santa Margarita, California. They were married between two ivory hydrangea and rose arrangements positioned on top of wooden barrels.

Keviann and Ben expressed their shared love for baseball through specific details they incorporated into the wedding, such as this wooden bat that guests signed. Also, the cake was topped with stadium chairs of the rival baseball teams that the bride and groom liked; classic white baseballs were seen throughout the venue.
“I let all my bridesmaids choose their own dresses, as long as it was in the blush/light pink family of colors and was a long chiffon style,” Keviann says. “For the groom and groomsmen, they all wore gray suits with a white shirt and matching gray- and pink-patterned ties with black shoes.”
At the reception, dining tables were marked with gold metal table numbers with a white backdrop for guests to find their seats. “On the tables, we made table runners from a taupe linen fabric with a cream lace trim and light pink napkins,” Keviann says.
Pink slips with white labels on the front contained the table numbers where guests were seated at for the reception dinner. The slips were clipped to a wired frame by clothespins.

At the barn reception, Keviann and Ben sat at the sweetheart table, which was covered in a light pink glittery tablecloth and decorated with pastel-colored flowers. A whimsical chandelier hung above the table, draped in vines of white roses and white linens .
"We had a small cake to cut with small stadium seats made out of clay that had our two baseball teams as the topper—a DIY project of ours," Keviann says. "We had a dessert buffet of cinnamon roll lollipops, strawberry shortcake in mason jars and warm peach pies with an oatmeal streusel topping."
Keviann and Ben shared their first dance inside the barn at Santa Margarita Ranch in Santa Margarita, California. They danced under the twinkling string lights that were wrapped around the wooden beams.
