An Elegant, Rustic Wedding at Snow Avenue Greenhouse in Lowell, Michigan
Natural light poured into the glass roof of this greenhouse showered with hanging flower arrangements, which created the perfect garden setting for the elegant, rustic nuptials of Lexi Jones (23 and an accounting specialist) and Alex Behm (28 and a doctor). "My mom came up with the idea to have our reception at a local working greenhouse called Snow Avenue Greenhouse in Lowell, Michigan," Lexi says. "I got behind this idea almost instantly as I looked around the gorgeous glass roof greenhouse, imagining all the spring blooms that would soon fill the space." And so many blooms did, ranging from the colorful arrangements hanging from the ceiling to the hydrangea centerpieces decorating long dining tables. Lexi's own pink and white bridal bouquet filled with peonies, hydrangeas and stock embodied the elegance of the day, and the bridesmaids carried a pink arrangement solely filled with peonies. Tables had black-and-white numbers wedged between a piece of wood, where guests sat with wooden plates, twig-shaped silverware and floral napkins set in front of them. We loved the chandeliers with hanging glass bottles containing white peonies and poppies—a floral spin on a traditional decoration.
