Rebecca Goldberg (28 and a product manager) and Jonathan Arias (31 and a product manager) planned an elegant spring affair at the Langham Hotel in Boston, Massachusetts, to celebrate their nuptials. Wanting a day that celebrated the spring season and embodied old-world opulence, the couple filled the day with a soft pastel palette, rich in shades of mint, gold, ivory and blush, as well as arrangements of lush romantic blooms. “We wanted to celebrate the brightness that a spring wedding embodies, but we also wanted to make it a formal event,” Rebecca says. The Langham Hotel—the formal Federal Reserve Bank of Boston—provided the ultimate backdrop for the affair, with its lavish 1920s Renaissance Revival building and location in the heart of the city. From the menu showcasing cuisine from all over the world to the narrative table numbers and playful dachshund salt and pepper shakers, every detail spoke to Rebecca and Jonathan’s story, personalities and backgrounds. The couple also put their personal mark on the day by writing their own vows, having family members do the readings during their ceremony and incorporating family heirlooms, like Rebecca’s great-grandmother's and grandmother’s wedding ring, into traditions like the exchanging of rings. The Mozart Academy and ECF Entertainment set the tone for their evening with their sets of sophisticated and upbeat tunes, while a prop-filled photo booth kept guests entertained. “It really takes effort from a lot of people to achieve your vision; we were lucky to have so many great people to work with,” Rebecca says. “The results speak for themselves.”

Elegant Mint and Gold Wedding Invitations
After spending a weekend at home in Connecticut, Rebecca returned to the apartment she shared with Jonathan and was surprised to find it rearranged and covered in candles and flowers. After serving her a five-course meal in which he re-created their past dates together, Jonathan dropped to one knee and proposed. Needless to say, Becky said yes and they enjoyed their final dessert course together before calling their families and friends to share the news.
When Rebecca embarked on her mission to find the perfect dress for her classic, formal affair, she had several styles in mind, though they varied significantly. After trying on several gowns at Allegria Bridal in Belmont, Massachusetts, she finally came across one that truly caught her attention—a lace mermaid-style gown by Augusta Jones. To give the gown a touch of personal flair, she had a few alterations made, including the addition of buttons and a keyhole back.
To fit the wedding's opulence and formality, Rebecca accessorized her custom Augusta Jones gown with a few glitzy details. A crystal-embellished belt accentuated her waist while adding an undeniable glam touch to her bridal look, while D’Orsay-style Badgley Mischka heels were undeniably elegant and refined.
The bridesmaid dresses were an easy decision for Rebecca, who allowed each of the women—her three sisters—to choose a style they loved from Bill Levkoff’s bridesmaid line. She asked only that they select gowns in similar fabrics and a shade of mint green to match the wedding’s palette.

Rebecca and Jonathan made the most of their elegant event space, hosting each portion of the evening in a different room. For cocktail hour, guests sipped on signature sangria cocktails in a room overlooking Post Office Square, while indulging in inspired eats like steak churrasco, chicken empanadas, potato and zucchini latkes and griddled Reuben bites, nods to the couple’s Cuban, Colombian and Jewish heritage.
Gilded Mint Escort Cards
Wanting to play up their love of travel and appreciation for French culture, Rebecca and Jonathan gave each guest a small box of French macarons, which they displayed at each place setting. The macarons were made at Patisserie on Newbury and came in pistachio, coffee and raspberry flavors. “The patisserie was also able to make gluten-free options for a couple of our guests with dietary restrictions,” Rebecca says.
Rebecca and Jonathan incorporated elements throughout the day that spoke to their personalities and backgrounds, adding a personal dimension to the wedding decor. For their sweetheart table, the couple swapped out the standard salt and pepper shakers for white dachshund figurines, a nod to Rebecca’s family's dog, Skippy.
To bring Rebecca and Jonathan’s opulent, spring theme to life, Mimosa Floral Design created arrangements of lush seasonal blooms displayed on elegant silver candelabra pedestals. Ivory hydrangeas, chrysanthemums and blush roses and spray roses infused the room with a soft, romantic feel, while tying into the evening’s classic, timeless vibe.
Shades of mint, ivory, gold, blush and navy decorated the stately ballroom of the Langham Hotel in Boston, Massachusetts, infusing the room with a cheerful yet elegant spring vibe. The table numbers incorporated the seasonally inspired hues, the Wedding Paper Divas design featuring gilded mint edging and anecdotes relating to each number.
Pink Monogrammed Cake Balls
Rebecca and Jonathan worked with Konditor Meister to design a wedding cake that was as beautiful as it was delicious. The four-tier confection was covered in pale-mint-colored fondant and featured lattice and lace-inspired piping, as well as vintage-inspired sugar blooms. The couple completed their cake’s design with a simple monogrammed accent.
