An Elegant Vineyard Wedding at a Private Residence in Napa, California
Kinne Schwartz (26 and an attorney) and Stephen Manente (27 and an attorney) met during their first semester at Duke University School of Law. All it took was a weekend trip to the coast with friends, where they hit it off and never looked back. After three years of dating, Stephen surprised Kinne with tickets to see her favorite musical, 'Wicked,' and booked a room for the night in a historic hotel. After the show and dinner, Stephen brought Kinne to their hotel balcony, where flowers, candles and champagne awaited for her. That’s when he got down on one knee with an antique sapphire stone ring made in the early 1900s and proposed. The couple had their ceremony and reception at a small family vineyard in Napa, California, that sits on the hillside overlooking the distant valley. They were married on the outside patio overlooking the green vineyards and hills in the distance, and the reception was held in the wine cave at the venue. The elegant, natural theme was shaped by the simple flower arrangements and table settings accented with small bunches of lavender. When Kinne and Stephen attended their university, they would walk by a section that smelled of lavender every day, and incorporating it into their special day reminded them of where they fell in love.
