The Bride Lauren Ellis, 28, a project manager for CSC The Groom Thomas Rice, 29, a senior consultant for CGI The Date September 24 Since they love the beach and were getting married on the water, Lauren and Thomas wove a nautical theme into the elements of their wedding day. A crisp combo of navy and white was accented with nautical flags, striped ribbon and twine details.

Each tier of the buttercream cake was wrapped in navy grosgrain ribbon. White anemones decorated the tiers and served as a cake topper.
While the adults received spice jars of Old Bay seasoning, the kids were given sweet treats—jars of Skittles candy.
Lauren and Thomas took the floor to “Then (And I Thought I Loved You Then),” by Brad Paisley for their first dance.
White table linens and dark wood chiavari chairs were an elegant complement to the unique architecture of the club.
White carnation pomanders, hung on shepherd’s hooks by navy and white striped ribbon, lined the aisle.
Mini nautical flags in different patterns directed guests to tables topped with matching flags.
Lauren and Thomas exchanged vows in the sunken garden overlooking the Chesapeake Bay.
The bride’s white satin, open-toe pumps were accented with a flirty silk flower.
In lieu of a veil, two white silk organza flowers were pinned in the bride’s curled updo.
Lauren’s fragrant white bouquet was made up of gardenias, roses, dahlias, freesia, sweet peas, ranunculus and hydrangeas.
The bridesmaids wore crisp, navy blue cotton cady dresses. Lauren gave them gorgeous necklaces of gray freshwater pearls to complete the look.
White cardstock, printed with the details of the ceremony, was mounted on navy cardstock and accented with twine bows.
