Shawn and Maya met while out on the town one fateful night. "Shawn made sure we snapped a photo and even said, 'You're going to want a picture of the night we met!' We still have that photo," says Maya. The pair celebrated a romantic, tropical wedding at Sunset Ranch in Haleiwa, Hawaii after a romantic proposal in Kona on the Big Island. "Our wedding timeline was less than traditional -- guests arrived at the ranch and were greeted by the bride and groom," says Maya. "We mingled with them for an hour enjoying appetizers and hugs." The couple chose a mix of modern and rustic details to decorate their wedding venue. Traditional white, wooden folding chairs made up the ceremony aisle and the reception dinner seating, romantic arrangements of pink and peach flowers and leafy, green eucalyptus made up the centerpieces and aisle decor, while environmentally friendly bamboo chargers kept the dinnerware light and modern.

The bride and groom greeted their guests upon their arrival at the ranch and had the opportunity to take this photo of all the guests surrounding the couple in the shape of a heart.
Maya purchased eucalyptus leaves from Whole Foods to fill up her reception centerpiece vases and add depth to her tablescapes.
The couple exchanged vows beneath a large tree on the Sunset Ranch property.
The wedding reception was held under a white tent, which lent the venue a formal air and beneath the pitched shade, round tables set with white tablecloths and bamboo chargers kept the atmosphere light.
DIY table numbers were placed on each surface in black and white and framed with antique-inspired candle holders, mason jars and romantic flower arrangements.
Bridesmaids wore neutrals with hints of black and carried romantic bouquets of red and white roses mixed with ethereal baby's breath flowers.
Bamboo chargers at each place setting held a linen ivory napkin and a wedding favor for each guest at the reception.
